Reasoning for Repair: Studies of Reparative Reasoning in Jewish and Catholic Traditions
The Center for Christian-Jewish Learning at Boston College
Dr. Peter Ochs’ primary scholarship is in philosophy and scripture, or what he calls scripture-based reasoning. He writes as a Jewish philosopher and Jewish theologian, with degrees in anthropology, rabbinics, and philosophy. Much of his work engages Christian theologians. He will begin his luncheon talk with personal reflections on his work, before turning to his project for the year: studies of reparative reasoning in Jewish and Catholic traditions, which are also reasonings out of non-finite sources.
