The Jewish-Catholic Theological Exchange at Providence College is hosting the dialogue “Faith in Science: Catholic and Jewish Perspectives on Creation and Cosmos” for the annual Fay Rozovsky Lecture in Jewish-Catholic Dialogue on Wednesday Oct. 25 at 6pm. Speaking are Brother Guy Consolmagno, S.J., Director of the Vatican Observatory, and Dr. Peter Saulson, Professor Emeritus of Physics, Syracuse University.

Appointed directory of the Vatican Observatory in 2015, Br. Guy’s research explores connections between meteorites, asteroids, and the evolution of small solar system bodies. Dr. Saulson’s research has been devoted to the development of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO). The two will discuss the role faith and their respective religious traditions have played in their profession as scientists.
