Newsletter December 2024 | Hope Beyond the Headlines: Building a Better Tomorrow

26/12/2025

Dear Friends,
These are just glimpses of the powerful impact we’ve had this past year. In these dark and tumultuous times, when the complexities we face seem insurmountable and solutions feel out of reach, our work has become a beacon of hope.
Through our ongoing programs with thousands of school principals, educators, students, university participants, tour guides, and more, we open hearts and make space for hope to take root. The ripple effect is undeniable: educators are shaping the next generation, engaging deeply in reshaping the future of this land.
One school principal in our “Educational Leadership in Crisis” program shared:
“Why am I here? As a leader and educator, I feel a responsibility to address the challenges facing Israeli society. As principals and community leaders, we have the power to shape policies and bring real change to reality.”
Change is happening, and action is taking place—but there’s still so much more to do.

Looking Ahead: 2025 – A Critical Year

The challenges are immense. The ongoing conflict, political polarization, and escalating divisions in and beyond our communities demand an even greater commitment from us.
That’s why 2025 must be a year of broader, deeper impact. We aim to expand our reach—bringing our transformative programs to more schools, educators, and community leaders. Our vision is to create systemic change: from the ground up and the top down.
But to achieve this, we need you.

Be Part of the Change

Your support can help us grow our programs, reach new audiences, and amplify the voices working tirelessly to build a better tomorrow. As the year comes to a close, if you’re still considering where to make your end-of-year donation, we invite you to partner with us.
Your contribution will directly empower those on the ground who are shaping a brighter future—especially in times like these.
The Rossing Center (registered Charity # 513816421) is recognized in Israel (46A) for tax deductible donations. In addition, all donations are tax deductible in the US and the UK.

We hold onto a deep hope and expectation for 2025. More and more people are questioning the current state of our society and searching for better answers—longing for a different path and a more inclusive, respectful dialogue.
We are not just hoping for a more just, compassionate, and safe future.
We are actively working to make it happen.

Women at the Helm: Reimagining Religious Leadership

In honor of the upcoming International Women’s Day, the latest webinar was dedicated to pioneering women in the field of religion:
Rabbi Naamah Kelman is the first woman ordained as rabbi in Israel.
Rev. Sally Azar is the first woman ordained to the priesthood in the Holy Land.

Led by Dr. Sarah Bernstein, the discussion explored the role of these women in religious society and the resistance they encountered as religious leaders. The conversation led to fascinating insights and connections, both across the different fields and within each community.
